Be Ready (Prepared)--bring all necessary materials, be on time, leave distracting items at home or in your locker. Electronic devices are only allowed during lessons when instructed.

Be Respectful (Considerate)--of people and property, use appropriate language, pick up after yourself (supplies & garbage).

Be Responsible (Diligent:  hard working) --listen, follow instructions, stay on task, do your best, study, complete assignments on time, enter and dismiss properly.

Consequences:  student conference, time-out/parent contact, office referral

ACADEMIC   EXPECTATIONS

Grades are earned by students and show academic growth and progress. Math grades are weighted by the given percentages:

Formative (30% of overall grade): HW, CW, entry/exit tasks, module notes and quizzes
ALL work must be shown to receive credit.
It is highly recommended that you have the assignments completed when they are due to have the opportunity to ask questions regarding missed problems.  Students are expected to actively participate when going over assignments!

Work is either done from the math book, online resources, or handouts. You will get one copy during class but all worksheets and activities can be found on my website to print extra copies. All homework is due the next class period unless noted otherwise. Late homework is accepted up until the quarterly assigned firm deadline.

Summative (70% of overall grade): Assessments (module & cumulative tests, projects & presentations)
Module Test: partial credit for correct process. Can be re-taken one time after additional help is received & all required work is turned in from that module. Student will receive the retake test score (higher or lower) since this is the more recent level of understanding. Make sure you are prepared!
Cumulative Test: Given at the end of each semester (similar to a final) and can not be retaken.

Make-up Work:  This is the student’s responsibility to obtain from the teacher, a classmate or Power School/teacher website and complete.
